Callidora is Greek for “gift of beauty.” Indeed, when such a gift is combined with power, grace, and confidence then you will behold the Great Dane. This old-world breed has championed through the ages for good reason; there is, perhaps, no breed of its stature more aptly suited to be a part of your home and family. You must be willing and capable, however, to devote an environment that is equally sharing of their love, attention, and companionship.

Our goal is to provide future Dane owners with the highest standard of Great Dane that we are able to achieve through extensive research, detailed health screening, pro-active communication with fellow breeders and owners, and a commitment to enhance the breed with each litter. For these reasons, we limit our breeding to optimize this approach. We are not, and will not, condone mass breeding in any manner and we will not sell puppies for breeding purposes alone.

Full AKC registration will be discussed on an individual basis for show-home puppies ONLY. These show puppies will be co-owned by Callidora Great Danes and the prospective owner.  Pet puppies will have limited AKC registration and will be on a spay/neuter contract.

As with any animal, we encourage you to do as much research as possible regarding this breed. It is very unfortunate to have a Dane placed into a home and then later discover that the situation is not what the owner expected. If this is the case, we insist that you return the puppy to us for proper placement.  For this reason, no puppy will be sold without the prospective owner completing an application, being interviewed, and subject to home inspection.
